Here's our chance to say thanks to the City of Alameda and the athletes that are our neighbors.  The event needs volunteers to ensure a safe, fun event.

The 2nd Annual Alameda Bike for the Parks will be held on Saturday October 7th from 7:00AM - 1:00PM.

Team Alameda is an Organizing Founder of this event.  This year we have been asked to provide 20 volunteers from Team Alameda.  Please put this day aside and join in the celebration in support of our City's parks.  Yes, There is an after-party!!

To volunteer go to and click on the Volunteer tab at the top of the page to register.  Don't be shy.  We need 20 volunteers.  Please join me, do the Team Alameda "thing" and volunteer.

Your Board is happy to announce that we are supporting the bike registration program offered by Bike Index, the largest bicycle registration data base in the world.  Bike Index is currently the registration program of choice of many local advocacy groups, agencies, cities and police departments in the greater east bay.  By registering your bike with Bike Index you increase the possibility of recovering your bike in the event that it gets stolen.

Please take a moment and register your bike/s now.

Or, for more information, go to our Other Rides Forum and read the "Someone Stole My Bike" post.  You can register your bike/s there as well.

Team Alameda's operating expenses, such as insurance and the web site, have increased substantially. We had a small operating deficit last year and the Treasurer currently projects a larger operating deficit this year.  As one of the measures to balance the club's budget we need to increase our annual dues, which we have not done for some years now.

Effective March 1, 2017 annual dues for Team Alameda will be $35 per year.
