The Board of Directors will have five open seats beginning in 2015.  Directors serve for two year terms, with specific board positions (including officers) determined by the board itself each January.  The nomination period is open until September 30, 2014.  We currently have one candidate - a current board member who desires to serve another term (Ashish Parikh).  We have four more seats to fill.  Should there be more candidates than seats, we will conduct on-line voting in October (details to follow).

If you are interested in serving on YOUR Team Alameda Board of Directors, please contact Carolyn Mason at mailto:carolyn.mason1@gmail.com and/or Joe Mariscal at mailto:joe.mariscal@gmail.com, even if you have previously expressed an interest (we need to confirm official candidates this month).  If you would like more information about board activities and position descriptions, visit the member-only section of the website (you must log in).  There you will find the bylaws, some position descriptions, and monthly meeting minutes, among other things.

Remember, this is your club.  It runs on people power.  It does not run itself.  Things don’t just happen.  If you value what you have, if you value what the club does, and if you want more or it, then it’s your time to volunteer.
