Lisa has asked that I post information about a recent skiing accident that claimed the life of her son, Jake, earlier this week.  As you can imagine, Lisa is totally overwhelmed by this and is working on pure adrenaline right now.  It is her hope that you will all understand and respect her expressed wishes found in the Forum.

This ride series has been designed by one of Team Alameda's best, most experienced ride leaders, Jim "Flash" Gordon.

This 7 week series will start from zero and take the new rider by levels up to the top of Tunnel Road and beyond in only 12 weeks! Rides are every other Sunday. Ride pace will be comfortable for the group. Participants are expected to maintain or even increase their riding mileage in the weeks between the event dates so that they are ready to proceed to increased exertion levels.

All aspects of road riding, traffic, gear, and group dynamics will be covered. The emphasis will be on safety, having fun and exalting in the quick progress your body can make to achieve your goal of becoming Kings and Queens of the Hill!

Starting on Saturday, December 6th, Saturday rides will start at 9:00 AM instead of 8:00 AM.  While this is the norm, please check the calendar since ride leaders do sometimes alter the start time to fit the ride.

The Saturday ride time start of 9:00 AM will last until the end of February.  So the first 8:00 AM ride of 2015 will be on Saturday, March 7th.

    4. A person wearing personal hearing protectors in the form of earplugs or molds that are specifically designed to attenuate injurious noise levels. The plugs or molds shall be designed in a manner so as to not inhibit the wearer's ability to hear a siren or horn from an emergency vehicle or a horn from another motor vehicle.
    5. A person using a prosthetic device that aids the hard of hearing.
