Alpine Dam Loop -- Alan Lee Memorial Ride -- Ron A

  • 20 Sep 2014
  • 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM
  • Kaiser Alameda
Ride Leader:Ron A

Start:  Kaiser 8:00AM

Description: 4/D/55:  Team Alameda for those of you interested in joining Alameda Velo on this ride I've included their ride posting. I will lead the the ride for Team Alameda but would love to have a co-leader to support the C pace riders that would like to join this ride. As you can see below this will not be a race so pace should not be a problem. We do need to start thinking about and arraigning car pools as soon as possible. Meeting at 8:00 means being ready to go by 8:00 allow enough time to load your bike and gear so we are all ready to leave at the same time. If you have any questions regarding the ride feel free to contact me

Alameda Velo post -- We gather in Fairfax for the start of the Allan Lee Memorial ride. This year we have something a little different planned to start the ride off. Out of respect and admiration for Allan's closest friends in the club, Dave, Chester, Patrick and Phil will lead the group up the first climb from Fairfax to Pine Mountain. Those four will climb first and the group will follow at a respectful distance. When we get to the Pine Mountain summit then its go at your own speed till the regroup at Alpine Dam for some group photos. After the break we are on our own till the top of Tam.
I suggest we meet at Kaiser at 8:00 and roll from Fairfax PD at 9:00+-
